Well I joined this forum because of this course lol, it was an awesome course and I will be returning to it at least once a week. I played Saturday and Sunday, and noticed that within that 24 hour period there were a ton of broken beer bottles throughout the course near the pads. Is there anything that can be done about things like that? I mean I am sure you guys hate to see the park go to trash like that from stupid people. One of the people in my group cut themselves on one of the bottles, (stepped on it wearing flip-flops)..
Anyway thought I would post on here about how I loved the park but hate the bottles!

There isn't too much you can do sadly enough. The drunk litterbugs will always be around. Alcohol and drug use is prohibited in the parks but not enforced. For now if you see someone littering and or drinking etc. let em know it's not cool and if they give you grief your more than welcome to call the cops on em for vandalism and public intoxication.
The issue is that nobody wants to be "that guy" but for in order for the serious players to start getting the respect we want from the mainstream we are going to have to grow a set of balls and call these chumps out.

actually, and unfortunately, I have never seen anyone littering. This sucks, but it happens anywhere, and anytime the general public are allowed to congregate in wooded areas. Next time wear shoes.
Does anyone see my point here about liability ?

Oh yeah shoes are a must when I throw for some reason I can't get a good toss otherwise.. >_> Eh, half the bottles I see broken are literally inches away from the trashcans.. It is kind of sad and disrespectful..

It is sad isn't it? People who do those kinds of things are just idiots whop have nothing better to aspire to in life, but just being useless. Sad.

vandals with no respect for our parks. What would they do if they were made into a subdivisions? If you are going to enjoy a beverage on the course, throw the empties in the trash. And if you don't wear shoes, don't complain when you do get hurt. Shillito's is a great place to learn and practice. 1 bit of advise, go out every once and awhile and walk the course and pick up trash. It's a great way to learn where not to throw.
