Minutes from June 16, 2009.

Attended by:
Drew Smith - Vice President
James Miller - Treasurer
James Robinson - At Large Representative
Colin Nickell - At Large Representative
Lyle McCoon Jr.
Damon Bosley

Secretary Ricky Spaulding could not attend so Colin Nickell did the best he could to try to record the minutes...

James Miller gave a report on membership, finances and disc inventory, but Colin Nickell was still looking for a pencil to write stuff down with... Colin found a pencil in time to record that 3 discs have been sold at the concession stand at Veterans park.

The damaged basket from hole 18 at Veterans park was discussed. Lyle has provided Michelle from parks and rec with order information for the type of basket needed, where to get it, how much it will cost, etc... Michelle will reportedly get a new basket soon.

The Riverhill course project was discussed. This would be a 9 hole course in Riverhill park. Parks and Rec have suggested that the BDGA register with the state as a non-profit organization so that money supposedly can be passed to us to create this course. It is possible though that the money for the course can be passed through another organization or through parks and rec during the next fiscal term. Lyle McCoon Jr. has been representing the BDGA in heading this project.

The question was raised of whether the BDGA should file for non-profit status with the state. There is a seperate thread pertaining to this issue for all those interested.

A motion was made by James Miller that official non-profit status be voted on by the general membership with the voting period extending until the next meeting in early July during which the officers will vote to make the Non Profit Status official or not. Drew Smith seconded the motion and the motion carried.

A motion was made by Drew Smith that the BDGA provide $50 to NJCPR for sanctioning this event. James Miller seconded the motion and the motion carried unanimously.

Lyle McCoon reported that the BDGA needs to ask official permission from NJCPR to use Riney B. park for BDGA league events on Thursday nights.
A motion was made by James Robinson that Lyle ask NJCPR for permission to use Riney B. park for BDGA Thursday night league. James Miller seconded and the motion carried.

Some bag tag issues were discussed but nothing was resolved.

James Robinson resigned as At Large Representative and nominated Damon Bosely to fill the position. Damon accepted the nomination and Drew Smith is holding a special election to fill the spot of At Large Representative.

Minutes documented by Colin Nickell, The Great and Mighty!

July 14th, 2009

Members in attendance:
Joe Muse
Jerry Dobbins
Drew Smith
Roger Lane
Ricky Spaulding
James Robinson
Zach Skees
Welcome our newest member - Gregory Rickert

Damon Bosley accepted the At-Large Representative position replacing James Robinson.

We were going to replace veteran's #18 basket with the practice basket from Shillito but the sleeves won't work.
The best solution is to purchase a new basket or have someone fabricate the old sleeve with some metal work.

Plans are in the works for a fundraiser tournament in late August or early September. It will be two rounds at Veteran's Park and all proceeds will go towards the purchase of baskets for Jacobson Park or to buy a basket for #18 at Vet's. The cost is $30 for all divisions.

Please post any other fundraising ideas.

Bag Tags were discussed and all tags as of 7/14/09 are inactive.
New tags will be printed and reissued at a later date.

October Meeting Minutes - 10/22/09

Members Present: Jerry Dobbins, Drew Smith, Ricky Spaulding, James Miller & Lewis Willian

Election Process will continue through October 31st. Get your nominations in.

Bag Tag Challenge was once again mentioned. If there's enough interest this could be picked back up under new guidelines.

A six month course challenge series is a great idea but will require some volunteers at various courses to help run these events.
A schedule of courses is being reviewed.

The Lexington Open XII is set for May 15th & 16th. Mark your calendars.

James Miller suggested that we look into implementing a program during league that would use BDGA Bucks to earn points to buy merchandise to help raise funds for the Lexington Open.

The Kentucky Juniors Tournament will be scheduled in April.

A 2010 Schedule of events is being planned. Stay tuned for more details.

Area ICE BOWL'S
Veteran's Park
River Hill
Winchester
Lawrenceburg

The dates are being checked to assure that there's no conflict with the Cincinnati Ice Bowl series.
